Seven Years War 54mm collection, featured in several early battles of this blog. After a prolonged period of inactivity, these were sold to Megablitz & More in 2017 who has since returned them to active duty. These were the first of my completed armies after I returned to wargaming after a decades long hiatus. They were also some of my first experiments as converting figures, to which I have recently returned.
All infantry and artillery figures are BMC-brand American Revolution figures - some (dismounted dragoons, some of the infantry, the cavalry, some of the artillery and any flag-bearers) have milliput-scuplted hats or arms. There are 11 infantry units (six French and five Allies) of 12 figures each, except one Hanoverian Allied unit is missing a standard bearer and I have no idea where he went, so that unit has 11 figures. The Brunswicker (I think) unit has a broken flag. The flag poles are modelers plastic rod so are a little flexible but can also snap easily.
The inventory:
131 infantry in 11 units.
18 cavalry in three units.
4 artillery pieces with 4 crew each.
12 skirmishers in two units.
2 officer types on foot.
7 casualty figure markers.
See other notes below with each picture...
(Above: French cavalry unit in grey).
(Above: first row, French Grenadiers; second row French; third row: Germans in French service; fourth row: Hessians)
(Above: French dismounted dragoons for use as skirmishers)
(Above: first row: French infantry with milliput tricornes); second row: French infantry; third row: Hanoverian infantry; fourth row: French infantry)
(Above: Allied skirmishers ('jaegers');
(Above: Allied artillery, painted as Hanoverian, if I recall. Allied artillery has yellow pants, French has red).
(Above: Brunswicker infantry, I think. Banner guys have milliput arms/hands)
(Above: the lone British infantry unit in the Allied forces; behind them, more Hanoverians, I think)
(Above: Hanoverian infantry)
(Above: German cavalry, I forget which state. These are HAT Napoleonic Dragoon figures with milliput tricornes)
(Above: British cavalry. Again, HAT Napoleonic Dragoon figures with milliput tricornes)
